Veer Durgadas Rathod was born on the 13th of August 1638 (Vikram Samvat 1695 Shravan Paksha's Shukla Paksha's Chaturdashi date). His father's name was Shri Asanan. The mother was the leader. His father was a general in the army of Maharaja Jaswant Singh of Jodhpur. Veer Durgadas Rathod was a brave and brave warrior like his father. There were also other wives of ashes. Durgadas Rathod was raised by his mother, Ltkkvarnar and in his country, devotion and religious rites.
Once upon a time, Durgadas Rathore was guarding his fields at a young age. At that time, the shepherds of Maharaja Jaswant Singh came to the farm of dargadas Rathore, grazing camels. On this, Durgadas Rathore told those shepherds that they should take out their camels because their farm crop was getting worse. But the shepherds ignored the things of Durgadas. Then Durgadas Rathod punished those shepherds. When Maharaja Jaswant Singh came to know about this, he expressed his desire to meet that brave child and called that child in court. Durgadas Rathod approached the court of Maharaj and boldly expressed his point of view.
Maharaja Jaswant Singh was impressed by the clarity of that mighty young Durgadas Rathore. During this scene, the father of Durgadas Rathod, Asanan Ji was also present there. When Jaswant Singh came to know that this child is a boy of Asiman ji. Then he presented a saber to Durgadas Rathod. And from that day Durgadas Rathore Maharaj became Jaswant Singh's confidant and Swami devotee.
Jaswant Singh was the commander of Delhi's Emperor Aurangzeb. Aurangzeb wanted him to completely establish his rule on Ajmer. But without the death of Jaswant Singh, this could not have been possible. So Aurangzeb sent conspiracy Jaswant Singh to fight against the Pathan rebels in Afghanistan. Jaswant Singh died during this war in November 1678. Durgadas went to Rathore along with Jaswant Singh on this war.
Jaswant Singh did not have any son Aurangzeb wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to rule Ajmer but both wives of Maharaja Jaswant Singh were pregnant. Both the wives gave birth to two sons, but the accident passed on a son died at the time of his birth. There was another son named Ajit Singh.
During this time, Aurangzeb occupied the kingdom of Jodhpur and placed the royal authority there. Aurangzeb wanted to kill Ajit Singh as he did not want Ajit Singh, the Prince of Ajmer in the future, took over the rajdarbar. For this, Aurangzeb invited Ajit Singh to come to Delhi to declare him the king of Marwar. Veer Durgadas was well-acquainted with this conspiracy of Aurangzeb.
In this way Durgadas Rathod rescued Ajit Singh from many such conspiracies till his youth and then handed over Ajit Singh's kingdom to Ajit Singh. During this time, he started attacking the Maratha forces with Maratha forces and started attacking the Mughal forces. He also wanted to add Maharaja Raj Singh and Marathas to his work but for some reason they did not come with them. He also tempted Akbar, the younger son of Aurangzeb, to be king and prepared to rebel against his father. But their plan was not successful too.

In the last days of his life, Durgadas Rathod had to go through Marwad's land. Some people of Maharaja Ajit Singh had filled their ears against Durgadas Rathod. As a result, he started hating Maharaj Ajit Singh Durgadas Rathore. After that, Maharaj Ajit Singh constituted a conspiracy to kill Durgadas Rathore. But Ajit Singh failed in that. Durgadas Rathore went to Avantika Nagar on the banks of the Shipra river.
Durgadas Rathod passed away on November 22, 1718. His superb umbrella made of red stone is still adorned in a place called Chakrityirtha in Ujjain. Which is a pilgrim place for all Rajputs and patriots. Veer Durgadas is a bright example of courage, courage and loyalty. It was Durgadas Rathod who had failed the complete
Islamicization of Aurangzeb's conspiracy and had to protect the Sanatan religion.
Historian Col James Todd said about Durgadas Rathore, "He could not distract the Mughals' wealth, nor the power of the Mughals could be withdrawn from their determined determination, rather he was a hero, in which Rajput's courage and diplomacy were mixed".
Coins and post stamps of Veer Durgadas Rathore were also released by the Indian government. "
