APNA RAJPUTANA

APNA RAJPUTANARajputana or Rajputana 1949 AD Until the Indian Union was the former name of Rajasthan State. The word "Rajputana" is directly related to the brave Rajput warriors who have been the natural masters of this land for centuries. 

Since the Hindu Kshatriya Rajput rule was established thousands of years ago, the generation of Rajputs is protecting the motherland from the evil eye of the enemy. 

There is a misconception about the derivation of the word "Rajputana", many authors have mentioned this as a modern term that was used only by the British first. But in the local Rajasthani dialect, it is believed to be a known and old word of at least 700 years old. 

The Britishers nominated this area as the "Rajputana Agency" for administrative purposes and recognized the word in the big world.

Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Mewar, and Shekhawati were the largest areas of integrated Rajputana. All of the big rulers of Rajputana were not Rajputs of different ancestry, the only exceptions were the states of Bharatpur and Dhaulpur, both of which were ruled by the Jats. Due to the size and geology of the Rajputana area, the rule was distributed among the various Rajput clans, mainly between Kachwaha, Sisodia, and Rathore.

It is very important to mention here, the Chauhans who ruled the land during the time of Prithviraj Chauhan. Rajput's rule left a strong impression on the cultural and traditional life of Rajputana or the people of present-day Rajasthan. The land is full of stories of folklore and the bravery and perseverance of Rajputs. There is something to add to every place and person in the history of Rajputana. Spirituality the same time was at its peak in the Rajput era. 

Meerabai is an example of that.

The other sculpted classic sculptures of Rajputana are splendid fortresses and palaces built by Rajput kings. There are many, in fact, countless buildings made by Rajput rulers of Rajputana. Some of these are on the hilltop so others are in the water bodies (lakes) and some others thar are in the middle of the desert.

The Rajputana agency was formally consolidated in the Indian Union in the year 1949 and was re-nominated as Rajasthan, currently Rajputana is said to be literally meaning the land of Rajas or Rajputs in Rajasthan. Rajasthan is currently the largest state in India.
