Bappa Rawal (Reign 734-753) was the ruler of the Sisodia dynasty Mewar. The establishment of the Udaipur (Mewar) principality was done by Sisodia Rajputs in the 8th century. Bappa Rawal was also called 'Kaalbhoj'. The people had impressed with Bappa Rawal's preservation, liberation, etc., and honored him with the title 'Bapa'.

state by stripping Chittorgarh from the last ruler of the Maurya dynasty, Mann Maurya.

Reign

At the time of Maharana Kumbha, in the singing of an ancient book or anecdote, the time of Bappa Rawal was given in the Samvat 810 (753 AD). It is proven by the fact that this was the time of Bappa Raval's resignation. If Bappa Rawal's reign is kept for 30 years then he will be sitting on the throne around 723. Before Bappa Rawal in Mewar, there were some glorious kings of his lineage, but Bappa Rawal's personality was more than all those kings. By that time, the strong fort of Chittor was in the hands of the kings of the Maurya dynasty. It is famous for the traditions that, by the grace of the blessed Rishi, Bappa captured the fort by killing Mannya.
According to Todd, an inscription of Vikram Samvat 770 (AD 713 AD) of King Mann Maurya proved that there is no special difference in the time of Bappa Rawal and Mann Maurya.

Invasion of billions

It is estimated that Bappa Rawal's special fame was due to a successful battle with the Arabs. In 712 AD, Bappa Rawal won the Sindhu from Muhammad bin Qasim. Nagabhatta first killed the Arabs in western Rajasthan and Malwa. Bappa did the same work for the state of Mewar and its surroundings. Maurya may have been shocked by this Arab invasion. Bappa did the work which was unable to do the mauray, and also took control over Chittor. Many fables of victory over Baba Rawal's Muslim countries will have arisen from this true incident of the defeat of the Arabs
